We are a parallel-medium school with Afrikaans and English as languages of instruction. All learners at Laerskool De Aar are taught, educated, and equipped with Christian values in an excellent manner so that one day each of them can lead a dignified life as a well-balanced adult in society.
Laerskool De Aar upholds a Christian worldview based on the following values: faith, respect, integrity, discipline, honesty, and sportsmanship. These values are symbolized by different flags that are raised weekly during assembly, as well as discussed and displayed in the weekly newsletter. The school’s corridors are also decorated with wire ornaments that depict the various values.
A disciplined school environment must be created to promote positive discipline, to teach learners and educators self-discipline, and to establish exemplary behavior, as well as to build a partnership of mutual trust between parent, child, and school.
Each parent of Laerskool De Aar commits to cultivating a sense of responsibility in learners and to treating the educators and management with the necessary respect.
